$3 margaritas!

13th of September

September 13th was a slow day, we woke up at around 10am and had to leave because Jennifer had left for class at 8 and Tracey had to leave at 10:30, and the choice was either leave early or get locked in. So we decided to just leave early. We took Tracey to university, it was the least we could have done, there were was a swarm or students there and it took us 20 minutes to just get through 2 blocks because so many students were crossing the road.

We started on our way towards Dallas, we took the i35 north bound. We stopped en-route to get some Mexican food, tacos that were kinda sucked, it was just mushy beans with rice and cheese, a bit sickly. We drove on for about another hour and a half and then we spotted somewhere that Jennifer said that we had to try, Bush’s chicken, it was really quite good for friend chicken, I wasn’t a fan of what they call biscuits and gravy here, but the chicken was really well cooked and was great with the old hot sauce.

We arrived at Austin around 2pm and got ourselves a room at La Quinta east of the Dallas, exit 54b on i30. We chilled out for a few hours and watched the beginning of the Jets vs Ravens American football match. We headed for a local haunt that my friend Lauren recommended on Greenville called Gloria’s, it was classy Mexican restaurant, I had a pork tenderloin and Paolo had a beef tenderloin. I like how in Mexican restaurants you get unlimted bowls of tortilla chips and dip, it sorts me and Paolo out for our appetizers. Gloria’s has $3 Margarita’s from Sunday to Thursday! I’ve never had a margarita before but they were good! Im not a fan of fruity cocktails but this was a good drink, and for only $3 you cant complain! We devoured down our food and sat at the bar to finish watching the game, hey if you are gunna have $3 margarita’s then we are going to stay!

I backed the Jets and Paolo backed the Ravens, naturally my team lost.

We headed back and crashed out at the hotel. A slow day, but it was mostly travel and we have to have a few down days.
